"Thank you again for making it such an amazing trip. It was so much more than a cooking course - it was a sensory experience of note, with a cultural and history tour included - so much more than what I bargained for."

About Avignon & Provence
Avignon, the city of the Popes, the capitol of medieval Western Europe in the 15th Century. A handsome city surrounded by its sturdy ramparts. Within these walls
students study and stroll the cafés, chic boutiques offer their wears, many a cinema opens its doors and the world famous Theatre Festival fills the town every summer.
From the vast spaces and dramatic presence of the Pope's Palace, to the more intimate museums and galleries,
Avignon has a cultural presence that cannot be denied. Dance upon the Pont d'Avignon, watch the Rhône river flow beneath you, contemplate the many who have passed before you upon these same
gray stones.
Climb to the top of the Popes' garden and look beyond to the Mont Ventoux, the Cévennes across the Rhône, the cities to the north and the south (visible on a clear day).
Wander, savor a sip of coffee, take in the parade of people passing before you, discover tiny winding streets to explore, friendly faces to encounter, a singer or clown in a hidden nitche ready to do his show. Avignon is all of this.
From Avignon the great wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are just a short drive away. The Roman aqueduct that has spanned the Gardon River for two millenia, but a half hour. Fantastic restaurants to tickle the palate just around the corner.
And theatre lovers... come home. Since 1946 this city has been a place of inspiration, events, connections, magic and spectacle and so it is. Hundreds of performances every July, and many throughout the year.
