WINTER DECADENCE IN PROVENCE
Price 1320Euro (US$1900) [without accommodations]; with accommodations in a double room 1500E
(US$2175); for a single please add 210E (US$305)
During this week of decadence and hedonistic delights we've chosen only the best of our winter's traditions.
Come with us on a private tasting at a world famous wine cellar in
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on a truffle hunt to sniff out the elusive black gold, and to a master chocolatier
for a private lesson in making ganache.
After each day's excurions we'll come back to cook a feast together and make
our own foie gras, duck confit, smoked duck breast, home-made pasta (think foie gras and truffle stuffed tortellini!).
And for those who like a bit of sweets, a winter log cake, chocolate tarts and much more.
During all our excursions you will enjoy personal discussions with the artisans, and learn what
is special about each of their specialties. And not to worry if you do not speak much French! We will be with you to
interpret throughout.
Then, each evening, we'll prepare together 4 or more dishes and pair and compare the day's discoveries. Cooking ingredients will
come from our excursions and the open air market in Arles.
- 6 evenings, 5 days
- 5 menus featuring dishes cooked with wine, and dishes paired with wines of the region
- 3 mornings filled with visits and wine tastings
- visits to the local market of Arles to select the day's ingredients.
